Career opportunities with a global law firm

There are many law firms in the world, but very few like ours. Eversheds Sutherland Brussels consists of 20 lawyers, including 6 partners. It has consistently been at the forefront of changes in the legal profession and is widely regarded as one of the most progressive, forward thinking practices around. Real estate trainee or junior associate:

To strengthen the real estate and regulatory practice group of our Brussels office we are looking for a trainee or junior associate with 0 to 3 years of experience in real estate law, with strong language skills and a strong academic background.

Qualifications

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in real estate law (if experienced, ideally with both transactional and private (real estate) law litigation experience)
  • Strong interest in construction and development, corporate real estate, institutional investment (real estate M&A) and commercial real estate in general
  • Strong academic background
  • Having obtained a Master of Notarial Law is considered an advantage
  • Truly bilingual (Dutch-French) with a very good knowledge of English
  • High standards of performance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound business acumen, solution focused and deal oriented
  • Ability to work well both in a team and individually

Associate Employment Law:

 

Master in Law with a strong academic background and 2 to 5 years of experience in employment law. Ideally, you have an excellent command of Dutch, and you are fluent in English and French.

 

You will serve a large and diverse client base (both domestic and international) and you will work in close co-operation with the global Employment Practice.

You will provide solution oriented legal services regarding all aspects of local, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional individual and collective employment law matters (restructuring and collective bargaining, employment and workplace issues, legal aspects of human resources policy, termination of employment contracts, international employment, privacy, ...). You will regularly work in close collaboration with the corporate team to deliver a “one-stop-shop” service and advise on corporate employment matters.

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • You are a Belgian qualified lawyer with an strong academic record. A post graduate qualification in Labour & Employment Law is considered an asset.
  • You have 2 to 5 years of experience in employment law.
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch and you are fluent in English and French.
  • You are internationally oriented. Having studied or worked abroad is of added value.
  • You have high working standards.
  • You are precise, thorough and well organized.
  • You have excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • You are a team player who is also able to work individually.
  • You have a hands-on attitude and you are solution focused.
